Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

This is a four (4) month study that is looking for females over 18 years old with a diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome diarrhea predominant.

Osteoarthritis of the Hip or Knee

This is a nine (9) month study that is looking for patients over 40 years old that are diagnosed with osteoarthritis (OA) of the hip or knee who currently use narcotic pain medications for relief of at least moderate pain related to their OA symptoms - this study will evaluate an alternate pain medication in the form of a topical patch.

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction

This is a one (1) week study for patients 18-75 years old who are undergoing out-patient surgery for ACL reconstruction to evaluate an oral medication for the relief of their post surgical pain relief.

Type II Diabetes Mellitus

This is a 26 week study for patients over 18 years old to compare the percentage of those whose final A1c is < 7.0% at the end of the study using one of five different dosing algorithms for the treatment of DM II.

Hypertension

This is a three (3) year study for patients over 60 years old diagnosed with hypertension, they can be either treated or untreated currently. It is to compare the effects of Lotrel to benazepril and hydrochlorothiazide combined on the reduction of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.

Dyspepsia

This is a two (2) month study for female patients over 18 years old who have symptoms of dyspepsia who have normal findings on a screening esophago-gastro-duodenscopy (EDG) endoscopy to assess the efficacy of an oral medication.
